Kids' birthday parties, handled properly

A birthday party has more moving parts than it has any right to have: a theme the birthday kid actually wants, a venue that fits the guest list, an entertainer who is free on a Saturday in April, food that a dozen different families can eat, and a schedule that keeps twenty children from unravelling at once. Funtastica takes the whole thing — you approve the plan, we build it and run it.

Everything below is included when you book kids' birthday parties with us, whether it is the only thing you hand over or part of full party planning.

  • Theme and concept We start from what your child is into right now and turn it into a look, a menu and an activity plan that hangs together.
  • Venue sourcing Home, park, play space or private room — we find options that fit your guest count, budget and neighbourhood, and handle the booking.
  • Vendor booking Entertainers, caterers, bakers, rentals and photographers, sourced and contracted through us.
  • Run-of-show A minute-by-minute schedule so the cake, the activity and the goodbye all land where they should.
  • Day-of coordination A planner on site running setup, vendors, timing and teardown so you can be a parent at your own kid's party.

Questions

Birthday parties: what families ask

How far in advance should we book a birthday party?

Six to eight weeks is comfortable for most parties. Peak weekends in spring and around the December holidays book earlier, and popular entertainers and venues are usually the first thing to go. We do take shorter-notice parties when our calendar allows.

Can you plan a party at our home?

Yes — at-home parties are one of the most common things we plan. We handle rentals, furniture moves, setup and a full teardown, so your home looks the way it did before the party started.

Do you work with a set list of themes?

No. We build the theme around your child rather than picking from a catalogue, then source decor and activities to match.

How far in advance should we book?

Six to eight weeks gives us room to secure the venue and the vendors you actually want. Peak weekends — spring, early summer and December — go earlier. We do take shorter-notice parties when our calendar allows, so it is always worth asking.
